Astragalus membranaceus (Astragalus)
How does it work?
Astragalus root is used in western and chinese herbal medicine for its immunostimulant, adaptogenic, cardiotonic, anticarcinogenic and antioxidant actions.1 Studies have shown it contains constituents that enhance immune function, provide anti-viral activity, improve cardiovascular function and increase energy and vitality.2
What results can be expected?
Astragalus restores and strengthens immunity, improving the recovery and duration of infections and illness.3 It can be used prophylactically, during infection and convalescence.4 When taken during times of stress, it can improve stress response and reduce mental fatigue.5
